Veg Dum Biryani Recipe | Hyderabadi Style Veg Dum Biryani.

Ingredients for Veg Dum Biryani:

Main Ingredients:

500 gm Basmati Rice.
700 gm Potatoes.
600 gm Red onions.
500 gm Carrots.

Other Spices/Ingredients:

2 tsp Biryani Masala.
3-4 tsp Red Chili Powder.
2 tbsp Ghee.
100 ml milk.
2 tsp Sugar.
150 gm Curd.
2 tsp Cumin Seeds.
Salt to taste.
Some fresh Coriander Leaves.
500 gm Oil.

Veg Dum Biryani Preparations:

  • Fry the red onions in oil till become golden brown, stir every now and then.
  • Boil water on another stove to cook rice, take out the onion in plate.
  • In the same oil fry the carrots and potatoes only 50% then take them out in plate.
  • In hot bubbling water add 1 tbsp salt and rice and let it cook.
  • Heat 3-4 tbsp oil, in hot oil add cumin seeds and garlic ginger paste, roast it little then turn the heat off and add fried vegetables in it, give it a nice mix.
  • Now add salt, sugar, red chilli powder, biryani masala and curd in it, give it a nice mix.
  • Now add onion in it and save some for garnishing and mix well then add some freshly chopped coriander leaves.
  • Now add 80% cooked rice in it and spread evenly then add fully cooked rice spread it evenly too.
  • Now add some coriander leaves, 1-2 tsp ghee, 1 glass of saffron milk, now cover and cook it for 15 minutes at very low heat.
  • After 15 minutes turn the heat off and garnish the delicious biryani with some coriander leaves and fried onions and enjoy.
