You can have this with fasting chutney like basil chutney or coriander chutney or any other of your choice. Only the soaking time of sweet potatoes is more but other than this it’s a quick snack to make. Ingredients for Sweet Potato Fries:

Main Ingredients:

1 Large Sweet Potato.

Other Spices/Ingredients:

Oil for Frying.
Halite to Taste (Sendha Namak).

Sweet Potato Fries Preparations:

  • Cut sweet potato into long wedges like French fries.
  • Soak them in ice cold water for 1 to 2 hours at room temperature.
  • Drain the water and pat dry potatoes with clean towel.
  • Heat oil in a kadai for deep frying, make sure that oil should be very hot.
  • Put the wedges in oil, fry them until become golden brown, crispy and tender.
  • Now take them out in a tissue paper so the excess oil absorbs.
  • Keep them warm in the oven while frying remaining batches so it will not get soft.
  • After frying all the fries take them in a bowl and spread few salt for seasoning and enjoy the fries.
