Hey guys today here is very tempting fritters recipe for all of you, which is well known as Spinach and Cheese Pakoda, you must have eaten lots of various kinds of fritters or pakoda or pakoras but this is special one and delicious one, paneer or Indian cottage cheese is everyone’s favourite, specially kids love the most for that I have tried to make something with cheese which is healthy as well as yum. This quick snacks recipe is really very simple and easy to make.

As it is made from spinach or palak it is very healthy, usually kids don’t like to eat spinach and other green veggies, but if you make this quick spinach and cheese pakoda then definitely they’ll love and have with joy. Ingredients for Spinach and Cheese Pakoda:

Main Ingredients:

3 Large Potatoes Boiled and Mashed.
2 Cups Gram Flour.
3 tbsp Grated Paneer.
½ Cup Chopped Palak or Spinach.

Other Spices/Ingredients:

3 tbsp Fresh Bread Crums.
2 tbsp Chopped Coriander Leaves.
2 tbsp Chaat Masala.
2 tbsp Corn Flour.
1 tbsp Cream.
3 tbsp Chopped Mix Nuts of Your Choice.
Pinch of Baking Soda.
Pinch of Asafoetida.
Salt to Taste.
Oil for Deep Frying.

Garnishing/Serving:

Pinch of Red Chilli Powder. (Optional)
Pinch of Black Pepper Powder. (Optional)
Pinch of Chaat Masala. (Optional)
Tomato Ketchup.

Spinach and Cheese Pakoda Preparations:

  • For Outer Layer: Add gram flour, salt to taste, pinch of soda, pinch of asafoetida and water in a big mixing bowl.
  • Mix all the ingredients well, add water as per required to make a nice batter.
  • For Inner Part: In mix nuts add cream and mix well and keep aside.
  • Now take a big mixing bowl add potatoes, paneer, bread crums, corn flour, salt, spinach, chaat masala and coriander leaves.
  • Mix all the ingredients well and make nice mixture.
  • Take little mixture in hand make thick layer stuff little nuts mixture at centre, fold it and make ball shape pakora, make all the pakoras ready this way.
  • If you are not able to bind balls then add more boiled and mashed potatoes.
  • Heat oil for deep frying pakodas and mix gram flour batter well.
  • Dip the pakodas one by one in batter and directly put in oil for deep frying.
  • Fry the pakoras until become light golden brown then take them out in a serving plate.
  • Garnish with chaat masala, pepper powder and red chilli powder and serve with tomato ketchup.
