How to Make Sago Salty Snack.

Sago salty snack is one of the very healthy and delicious Indian snack or namkeen recipe usually prepared for fasting or vrat. In India whenever festivals come people thought about the fasting recipes and dishes and this sabudana namkeen is one of them. It is really very simple and easy to make plus requires very less time to cook is well. Mainly it is prepared from sago, makhane, almonds, peanuts and some other spices and all the ingredients are very healthy and nutritious.

Festivals like Navratri or Janmashtmi this snack is prepared in huge quantities and not just for festivals you can make this in ordinary days also, as it tastes really very yum. Small kids always asks for snacks and fast foods any time so it is one best snack to make and serve them. Along with this you may also like some other fasting recipes like fox nut snack, Rajgira pooris, kuttu flour pakora etc…….

Ingredients for Sago Salty Snack:

Main Ingredients:

200 gm Sago.
Some Makhana.
50 gm Almonds.
50 gm Peanuts.

Other Spices/Ingredients:

Around 1 tbsp Raisins.
8-10 Small Pieces of Dry Coconut.
¼ tsp Black Pepper.
2 tsp Powdered Sugar.
Halite or Sendha Namak as per taste.
Oil for frying.

Sago Salty Snack Preparations:

  • Put around 1 tsp water in sago and mix well, keep sago aside for 5-7 minutes.
  • Now heat oil in a pan, when oil gets little hot add in almonds and fry them little then take out in plate.
  • Now in the same oil put peanuts and fry till it changes colour then take out in plate.
  • Now fry the makhanas in same oil for few seconds then take out in plate.
  • Now in the same oil fry the dry coconut pieces till become light golden brown in colour then take out in plate.
  • Now fry the sago in little hot oil till they cook nicely then take out in plate.
  • Now take all the fried ingredients in a big bowl then add in raisins, black pepper, sendha namak and powdered sugar.
  • Now mix all the ingredients well with help of spoon and serve the delicious sabudana namkeen.
