How to Make Roti Patra Recipe | Gujarati Snack Recipe.

Hello friends today here we are with a simple, easy and quick Indian snacks recipe which is known as Roti patra. It belongs to gujarati cuisine and oftenly cooked in gujarati households. Taste of this chapati patra is really very delicious and yummy which makes everyone’s taste bud change. Mainly it is prepared from Rotis, gram flour and some other spices. Here we have used fresh cooked Rotis but you can also use leftover Rotis as well.

All the required ingredients to make this quick Roti patra are very simple and commonly available in almost every kitchens of the world. You can prepare this snack food item for morning breakfast or as evening snack or any time when you are hungry. Ingredients for Roti Patra:

Main Ingredients:

3 Rotis.
3 tbsp Gram Flour.

Other Spices/Ingredients:

1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Chilli Paste.
½ tsp Ajwain.
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder.
1 tsp Sesame Seeds.
1 tsp Sugar.
½ tsp Lemon Juice.
1/8 tsp Turmeric Powder.
½ tsp Garam Masala.
Pinch of Cooking Soda.
Salt as per taste.

Serving:

Tomato Ketchup.

Roti Patra Preparations:

  • Take gram flour in a bowl then add in salt, turmeric powder, garam masala, sugar, red chilli powder, lemon juice, ajwain, sesame seeds, cooking soda, ginger garlic chilli paste.
  • Now add in water as per require and mix well all the ingredients to make thick batter from it.
  • Consistency of the batter should be like it can be spread easily.
  • Now take 1 Roti and put about 1 tbsp batter on it and with the help of spoon spread evenly.
  • Make sure that Roti should be covered with batter completely.
  • Now roll the Roti tightly then cut the Roti roll in 2 inch pieces, make all the Roti patra ready this way.
  • Now heat oil in a kadai then fry all the Roti patra till become nicely golden brown then take out in a serving plate and serve with tomato ketchup.
