How to Make Masala Pav | Indian Street Food Recipe.

Hello friends today here we are with another tempting and mind blowing Indian street food recipe which belongs to Mumbai. It is well known as masala pav and exclusively available at street food shops and markets. Mainly it is prepared from pav (Indian Bread), onions, tomatoes, capsicum and some other spices. This is really very simple and easy to make roadside masala pav recipe plus requires very less time to cook is well.

All the required ingredients to make this quick masala pav are very simple and commonly available in grocery shops and markets. You can make this yummy tummy and mouth clicking street fast food dish for morning breakfast or evening snack. It goes really good with raw onion tomato salad and tomato ketchup. Ingredients for Masala Pav:

Main Ingredients:

3 Pav.
1 Finely Chopped Onion.
1 Finely Chopped Capsicum.
1 Finely Chopped Tomato.

Other Spices/Ingredients:

1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Chilli Paste.
¼ tsp Turmeric Powder.
½ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
1 tbsp Pav Bhaji Masala.
½ tsp Lemon Juice.
1 tbsp Coriander Leaves.
Groundnut Oil for roasting pav.
Salt as per taste.
2 tbsp Oil.

Masala Pav Preparations:

  • Heat oil in a non stick pan then add in onions and saute for little time.
  • Now add in capsicum, ginger garlic chilli paste and saute for little time.
  • Now add in turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder, pav bhaji masala and saute all the spices for little time.
  • Now add in tomatoes and cook for little time then add in about 3-4 tbsp water so spices don’t get burnt and get cooked nicely.
  • Now add in lemon juice and cook it till it starts leaving oil at edges.
  • When veggies mixture starts leaving oil at edges turn the heat off.
  • Now make cut in all three pav using knife then stuff them with veggies mixture.
  • Now heat a non stick tawa then put some groundnut oil and about 1 tsp veggies mixture and roast the stuffed pav both the sides.
  • Now take out the masala pav in a serving plate and serve with some raw onion-tomato and tomato ketchup and enjoy.
