Making Khaman dhokla is very easy as well as it requires very time for preparations. If we talk about the ingredients so this easy khaman dhokla requires very simple and common ingredients which are exclusively available at every grocery shops in the world. Main Ingredients:

200 Grams Flattened Rice or Poha.
2 Glass of Butter Milk.

Spices / Other Ingredients:

1 tsp of Turmeric Powder.
Half Lemon.
Salt to Taste.
4 tsp of Oil.
1 tsp of Mustard Seeds.
10 Curry Leaves.
4 tsp of Sugar.
Chili Rings of 2 Chilies.

Garnishing / Serving:

Fresh Coriander Leaves.
Tomato Ketchup.

Khaman Dhokla Preparations:

  • Put butter milk into the pan.
  • Add turmeric powder and salt.
  • Let it cook for 2 minutes on a low heat.
  • Meanwhile wash the poha or flattened rice.
  • Take this out into the mixing bowl.
  • Put butter milk onto the poha.
  • Mix this well.
  • Take it out into the molding plate.
  • Press this with the hand so it don’t break while cutting.
  • Give it rest for around 20 minutes.
  • Cut it into the cubes.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • In hot oil add the mustard seeds, curry leaves, chili rings and one glass of water with (Half) Lemon and sugar.
  • Let it cook for a minute on a medium low heat.
  • Give tadka to the khaman.
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves and tomato ketchup.
