How to Make Gram Flour Poori.

Gram flour poori is a very healthy and delicious Indian main course recipe which is very easy to make as well as quick too. Mainly this besan ki poori is prepared from gram flour, plain flour dough and some spices. Cooking level of this healthy and quick puri is really very simple and easy and it requires very less time to cook is well. You can make this for your lunch, dinner or breakfast and have it with any curries of your choice.

In India people makes puris at the time of festivals, pooja and special occasions. Ingredients for Gram Flour Poori:

Main Ingredients:

3 Cup Binded Plain Flour Dough.
2 Cup Gram Flour.

Other Spices/Ingredients:

½ tsp Coriander Powder.
1 tsp Fennel Seeds Powder.
¼ tsp Turmeric Powder.
¼ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
Salt to Taste.
Pinch of Asafoetida.
Oil.

Gram Flour Poori Preparations:

  • Put all the gram flour in a kadai, add coriander powder, fennel seeds powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and asafoetida.
  • Dry roast all the ingredients for 2 minutes at medium low heat.
  • Now turn the heat off and add salt and mix well, take out the mixture in a plate and let it cool down for few minutes.
  • Now add 2 tbsp oil in mixture and mix well (add more oil if required).
  • Now add water as per required and make nice dough from it.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, make small balls from plain flour dough, roll it little and put little gram flour mixture at the centre of rolled dough.
  • Now fold it and roll it like a poori, make all the pooris similarly.
  • Now fry the pooris till become light golden brown then take them out in a serving plate (make sure that oil should be hot enough).
