Ingredients for Corn and Sooji Balls:

Main Ingredients:

1 Cup Sooji or Rawa or Semolina.
2 Cup Milk.
2 tbsp Boiled Corns.

Other Spices/Ingredients:

1 Finely Chopped Green Chilli.
1 tsp Chopped Chilli Fakes.
Some Chopped Coriander Leaves.
3 tbsp Dry Bread Crums.
1 tbsp Maida or Plain Flour.
2 tbsp Oil.
Salt to Taste.
Pinch of Pepper Powder.
Oil for Deep Frying.

Garnishing/Serving:

Few Mint Leaves.
Green Chutney or Tomato Ketchup.

Corn and Sooji Balls Preparations:

  • Heat oil in a non stick pan, add sooji or semolina.
  • Roast it for 5-7 minutes or till it changes its colour to light brown at medium flame.
  • Add milk and cook it till milk get reduced.
  • Now add salt to taste, boiled corns, finely chopped green chilli, chilli flakes, some coriander leaves.
  • Turn the heat off and mix all the ingredients very well, shift the mixture into a bowl and let it cool at room temperature.
  • Make small balls of equal sizes from the stuff and keep it aside.
  • in maida flour add salt to taste, pepper powder, water as per required and mix it well to make thin maida slurry.
  • Now dip all the balls in maida slurry then coat them with dry bread crums.
  • Heat oil for deep frying.
  • When oil get heated deep fry the balls on medium to high flame till the balls become golden brown.
  • Yum sooji balls are ready to serve, garnish it with mint leaves and serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
