How to Make Bhel Sanchori | Gujarati Street Food | Gujarati Cuisine.

Hello friends today here we are with a very special and unique street food recipe which belongs to gujarati cuisine and known as bhel sanchori. Mainly it is prepared from kneaded dough of all purpose flour, puffed rice or mamra, onions, tomatoes, cucumber, besan sev, masala peanuts and some other spices. This is really very simple and easy to make gujarati snack food dish plus requires very less time to cook is well. Best thing about this gujarati food is that it don’t requires anything to have with it.

All the required ingredients to make this quick bhel sanchori are very simple and commonly available in grocery shops and markets. Ingredients for Bhel Sanchori:

Main Ingredients:

½ Cup Kneaded All Purpose Flour Dough.
½ Cup Mamra or Puffed Rice.
3 tbsp Besan Sev.
1 tbsp Finely Chopped Onions.
1 tbsp Finely Chopped Cucumber.
1 tbsp Finely Chopped Tomatoes.

Other Spices/Ingredients:

1 tbsp Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves.
1 tbsp Masala Peanuts.
1 tsp Chaat Masala.
½ tsp Lemon Juice.
Rock Salt as per taste.
1 tbsp Sweet Chutney.
1 tbsp Green Chutney.

Garnishing:

Sweet Chutney.
Some Pomegranate Grains.
Green Chutney.
Some Besan Sev.
Some Finely Chopped Onions.

Bhel Sanchori Preparations:

  • Take a deep utensil then first put puffed rice or mamra, besan sev, onions, cucumber, coriander leaves, tomatoes and masala peanuts in it and mix well.
  • Now add in chaat masala, rock salt, sweet chutney, green chutney, lemon juice and mix the bhel well, dry bhel is ready.
  • Now make small balls from kneaded dough and roll them out in small size of puris.
  • Now take one puri and put some dry bhel at centre then put another puri on it.
  • Now press it gently and give shape of kachori then fold the edges slightly and give nice impression to it, make all the bhel sanchoris ready similarly.
  • Now heat oil in a kadai, when oil gets heated put bhel sanchoris in and fry till become nice golden brown.
  • Now take out sanchoris in a plate and let them cool for few minutes.
  • Now make small hole at centre of sanchoris then put some sweet chutney, green chutney, finely chopped onions, pomegranate grains, besan sev in it and serve.
